Odborné aktivity:
Vedoucí Katedry rekreologie FTK UP v Olomouci. Ve své odborné práci se zabývá problematikou volného času, zdravého a aktivního životního stylu a tvorbou politik a strategií podpory pohybové aktivity na národní a komunální úrovni. Je vedoucím pracovní skupiny Physical Activity Focus Group v rámci HBSC - Health Behaviour in School-aged Children ČR, největší výzkumné studie o zdraví a životním stylu dětí Evropě. Aktivně spolupracuje Ministerstvem zdravotnictví ČR, je gestorem Akčního plánu podpory pohybové aktivity v rámci Národní strategie Zdraví 2020. Pracuje jako člen expertního týmu Místní agendy 21 při Národní síti Zdravých měst ČR. Na Katedře rekreologie FTK UP v Olomouci je řešitelem řady výzkumných a rozvojových projektů (Education and Culture DG, ESF, FRVŠ a dalších). Je členem International Society for Physical Activity and Health, Sedentary Behaviour Research Network či České kinantropologické společnosti.
