The Department for International Cooperation led by the vice-rector for internationalisation Jiri Stavovcik took part in the EAIE conference (European Association for International Education) in the Netherlands on 26th – 29th September 2023. 6 700 participants from more than 100 countries around the world came to Rotterdam to spend a few days full of meetings, workshops, sessions and posters.

Palacký University shared a booth Study in Czechia with other Czech universities. We enjoyed a lot of meetings with our partners and also with partners-to-be discussing our existing and future cooperation within Erasmus+ programme, summer schools as well as degree programmes. We also experienced a very fruitful Czech-Canadian reception which took place at Study in Czechia booth and gave us a chance to meet representatives from different Canadian universities. As a result we hope to start new cooperation enabling us to arrange students and staff exchanges between our universities.

The workshops and sessions were also higly beneficial. You could find there a wide range of topics, e.g. Erasmus without paper, virtual exchanges, blended mobilities, sustainability, green Erasmus, students´recruitment, well-being or mental health.

The follow-up meetings are in full swing and we are sure that our presence at EAIE will bring Palacký University new opportunities in international relations.
