One week until 23rd International Teaching Week!

Tuesday 2 April 2024, 15:00 – Text: International office

Easter is already behind us but fortunately, we have another exciting thing ahead of us. On Monday, April 8th, the 23rd run of International Teaching Week (ITW) begins at the Faculty of Physical Culture PU and we are thrilled to invite all of our students and staff to visit lectures and workshops from our 9 international guest speakers.

This time, we will welcome guests from Canada, Israel, UK, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal, the Netherlands and as a bonus, a PhD student from the Sts Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology Palacký University, who is originally a Tibetan living in China, will also join the group of our ITW speakers. They will give lectures about various topics, like sport psychology, wellbeing along performance in sport and the question of SMART goals and healthy approach to exercise. Others will talk about strength and conditioning in older adults, outdoor adventure education, sustainable tourism and urban development, and exercise from the biomechanical perspective. You will have a chance to also participate in practical classes focused on basketball and dancing, including a workshop on Tibetan folk dance.

Do not miss out on the opportunity to visit at least a few of the 24 classes during this extraordinary week of “internationalisation at home”. If you are preparing – or even only just thinking about – studying or working abroad, seize this unique chance to meet the teachers, who might be exactly from your desired destinations, to talk to them about their country and university, and to practice your English skills. To find out more about the event and the guest speakers, check out the ITW websites or the ITW Schedule and List of Topics below.
