"The Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) invites international advanced undergraduate students in the natural sciences and related fields to join our research teams during the period July to September 2021.

During 2020, we modified the program to give selected students the opportunity to schedule their visit better and cope with the travel complications given by the pandemic in Germany and in their home countries. This year we again reserved the option of transforming the basic program into individual practices.

Summer students will have the opportunity to work and research in one of our institutes under the supervision of one of our scientists, being an integral part of a research group. The tasks to be developed range from practical operations in the laboratories to data analysis, scientific computing and theoretical sciences. This is a good opportunity to get to know the day-to-day work of the scientists and to exchange experiences with scientists and students from all over the world.

HZDR is a member of the Helmholtz Association of Research Centers in Germany. Our goal is to carry out cutting-edge research in the areas of energy, health and matter in order to find new ways to protect and improve human life. We currently employ 1.400 people in eight research institutes and various administrative departments.
